Property tax assessment doubled without notice — BBMP Bangalore demands ₹2.4 lakhs

BBMP reassessed my property tax from ₹48,000/year to ₹2,40,000/year without any written notice or inspection. When I visited the BBMP office, they said 'system updated automatically'. My house is the same 1200 sqft it was last year. No additions. Property ID: BLR-HSR-2019-45678. This arbitrary increase is illegal.

I had a worse experience with the same company. They don't care about consumers.

I'm a lawyer and I can confirm this violates consumer protection laws.

The government needs to step in and regulate this industry.

This is heartbreaking. Nobody should have to go through this.
